A reefer container (RF), also known as a refrigerated container is a shipping container that retains its shipment at a regulated, fresh temperature. Reefer containers are indispensable for the international trade of food ( meat, fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, fish, etc.) as well as non-edible commodities such as pharmaceuticals.
