Peak Season Surcharge

Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) is a temporary additional fee that carriers implement on top of base rates during peak demand periods such as the weeks before Chinese New Year and the September-November shipping period before the Christmas holiday season.

This fee is often charged as a fixed fee per package but may vary substantially between carriers, and may occasionally be waived or reduced for a lower cost.
