A liftgate fee is assessed by a trucker in case a liftgate service is needed for the end delivery destination. The liftgate is deployed whenever cargo cannot be unloaded with a loading dock or any other methods. It is a piece of equipment attached to the back of a truck, which enables cargo to be lowered to the ground.
