Drop and Pick is a truck delivery method in which the trucker drops the container off at a warehouse and picks up an empty or a full container when departing. While ‘Drop’ is a method to drop off freight and come back within 48 hours for a new pick-up, the ‘Drop and Pick’ saves time spent on an additional trip, however, it is only possible in an environment where there is a regular flow of cargo or rather ideal for shipping companies that handle a high volume of deliveries. This method is less costly and time-saving to Live Unloading.
