Drop and Hook

Drop and Hook is a type of trucking for carrying Full Container Load (FCL) shipments. The driver drops off a loaded trailer and then hooks it to another empty trailer when leaving. While ‘Live Load’ waits for the delivered container to be emptied and carried away, the drivers hired for a Drop and Hook shipment would pick up a new cargo from the same port or a new location and instantly get back on the road for a new delivery. Without any special delays, this method is faster and cost-efficient for the carrier, receiver, and driver.
