Cartage

Cartage handles individual units or certain content from the shipment. The method is similar to drayage in that it is associated with short-distance cargo movements through trucking. However, cartage differs from drayage in that it also involves transportation of non-containerized freight such as cartons and pallets.

Cartage services are adopted in short-distance transportation for items destined to a small town or within a city. Free Trade Zones are also popular in using the service in carrying the freight within the port to load and re-export.
